World-renowned symbol of French culture, the Opinel folding knife was born in 1890 in Savoie, at
the heart of the French Alps. The all-important knife has since travelled the world and ended up in
the pocket of the greatest artists, adventurers, navigators, mountaineers and cooks, including Pablo
Picasso, Eric Tabarly, Ellen MacArthur, Jean-Louis Etienne and Paul Bocuse. They have all appreciated
this simple, robust and reliable tool.
